My ♥ stopped at Whit.

I love every single one of these frames. In fact I want to wear that turquoise dress with the bow every day this Spring. The brown shoes are so chic, I can see why she decided to make them the constant in each pic. Beautiful!

My ♥ stopped when I saw these.

I can imagine wearing one of these on a long silver chain. I know they look old-fashioned but I really, really like them. Would you ever wear anything like this? Does anyone know where I could find some in Cape Town?

My ♥ stopped when I read this.

"A man would do nothing, if he waited until he could do it so well that no one would find fault with what he has done."

Do you ever think that you might be stalling something great by being too afraid to actually do it? I feel that way, a lot. It's so much easier to watch other people take huge risks. In fact I am brilliant at encouraging people to do the things that they were 'meant to do', to 'fulfill their potential'. Kids have the greatest way of reminding you of this, when you see them leap off just about anything with zero fear and ginormous conviction. I remember reading a story to a little boy I used to look after, and explaining to him how we can't 'really' fly. And I remember him looking at me with curiosity and asking 'why?' He totally believed that it was possible until I told him it wasn't. Looking back on it now it makes me so sad, like I should never have said that to him, that maybe, just maybe, we slowly kill people's dreams by telling them how many limitations there are. Life grinds the confidence out of us slowly, incrementally, and without us noticing. The cheesiest example of a payoff line that should become my mantra is 'just do it'. It should apply to every one of us. Just study that thing you've been wanting to, tell that person that you love them, tell that person that you can't stand them, be the person you want to be if you COULD be anyone. No regrets.

My ♥ stopped when I saw these teardrop earrings.

Have you noticed the shift back to teardrop earrings? They crept in slowly and now seem to be a permanent feature in the mags. The funny thing is I remember these from when I was little, being a child of the 80's. I remember big, gaudy, clip-ons that hung almost low enough to touch women's shoulder pads. And now they're back, but a lot less offensive than they used to be for some reason. I guess they work this time round because we've lost perms and oversized jackets but kept colour-blocking and tights. Funny how things come full circle.

My ♥ stopped at EmersonMade.

Wow, I never thought I'd find this look appealing! Emersonmade's Caftan range has definitely grown on me. So beautiful and ethereal don't you think? These outfits make me want to be in the sunshine, talking about books and movies and enjoying life. Would you ever wear something like this? Is it too much from a time gone by? I think she looks dreamy.

my ♥ stopped when I saw this outfit.

It's Friday and so I thought I'd put together a little post on some of my favourite items at the moment. The weather is Cape Town has been amazing the last few days, sunny skies, temperatures reaching 26! In Winter! This kind of loveliness in Winter means that the sandals (at the back of my cupboard) got some unexpected show time, and I was reminded of how much I love Summer clothing. Jacket wearing can be a pain! Because once you get inside, you take it off. So the entire day is spent putting it on and taking it off.  Roll on Summer, I'm one pedicure away from being ready for you!

Top - Modekungen
Shorts - Thelure
Bangle - Castor and Pollux
Ring - Kenneth Jay
Sandals - Monsoon

Have a lovely (Summery) Friday everyone xxx

Giveaway Heartst♥pper: Munch!

Munch, munch, munch is all I want to do when I look at these pics! Today's giveaway is from Munch food and cakes, the brainchild of Emma Liebenberg, a graduate of the esteemed Silwood Kitchen.

What does Munch do?

Munch caters for small functions, such as sit-down dinners, gourmet picnics, cocktail parties, brunches, high teas and any other kind of event you would like hassle-free, mouthwatering food for. We can deliver the dishes to your home or venue, or you can collect them at the Munch headquarters, depending on your preferences and the nature of the function. Menus are tailor-made for each client, based on your specific needs and tastes.

Cupcakes are so in fashion at the moment, perfect for tea with a friend, a pamper party or a wedding! I've been lucky enough to come into contact with a Munch sweet delight and I can tell you heaven does exist on earth. I love what Emma had to say about the Munch philosophy...

One of the wonderful roles of food and cakes is to get people to stop running around, gather together and be happy. Ingredients are very important, specifically seasonal and, wherever possible, local. Finally, a balance of simplicity and playfulness is used in creating Munch’s food and cakes.

TODAY'S GIVEAWAY: A DOZEN VANILLA CUPCAKES, HALF WHITE CHOCOLATE GANACHE, HALF DARK CHOCOLATE GANACHE - YUMMY!!!

TO ENTER:

1. Visit the delicious Munch website(here).
2. Leave a comment below this post telling me why YOU deserve these treats.

*The winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Monday.

My ♥ stopped when I saw these short dresses for bridesmaids.

Back in the day it was always an unsaid rule that bridesmaids should look hideous on the wedding day, so as to not 'outshine' the bride. But that was back in the day. I think bridesmaids should be gorgeous, they are after all the special people in your life. I have chosen short dresses for my pretty girls and although simple, the dresses are chic and sexy. The irony is this: when you make your girls look terrible (fuchsia ruffles come to mind) you draw attention to them rather than detract. Your entire wedding party should look amazing, because when bridesmaids feel amazing, they'll be more inclined to want to help with your 'bride-zilla' demands. I'm talking about me, can you tell?
