My ♥ stopped when I saw these cuties.
Lovelies how do feel about children at weddings? The big day is fast approaching now and I'm getting SO excited! Do you think that people should be allowed to bring their children? There are both positives and negatives in my mind and in the end I settled for no children. They make the most beautiful flower girls, and I imagined that I would have a little one in a ballet outfit as part of the bridal party, but then I really got thinking. If you invite the littles, then the parents lose out. Have you ever watched the mother of a 2 year old at a wedding before? All they end up doing is running after their child with the look of terror on their faces. And then they land up going home early. It's controversial but I think that every once in a while, a mom and dad need the night off, and by night off I mean a night to let loose and be free to dance into the wee hours of the morning. What do you think? Is this a selfish decision? xxx

My ♥ stopped when I saw this wedding.
I woke up feeling excited about the wedding. The excitement creeps in when you least expect it to. When you plan your wedding a year after your engagement you go through 12 months of varying enthusiasm (I am discovering this). Obviously the 1st two or three months are pure elation and you (literally) can't stop thinking about every little detail. You rush (as you should in Cape Town)to book the BEST venue and the BEST photographer, and by my own admission you get very caught up in the aesthetics of it all. But then quiet descends for a bit. You have a few weeks/months of calm (necessary for your health me thinks) and you put the idea at the back of your mind, not out of mind, but not centre stage. And then one day in the middle of it all, you wake up with butterflies in your tummy, and you're not entirely sure why, and then you realise you're getting married, in 6 months and it's soon! You reflect on the last 6 months and realise how fast they've flown, and wish you could do them again.

I wish I could stop the train, pause everything for a while. Take it all in a little more. My heart is singing today.

My ♥ stopped when I saw these wedding delights.
I'm thinking about having macaroons or cupcakes at the wedding. I think they add a modern touch to the day. The only thing is that by eliminating the cake, you also eliminate the 'cut the cake' moment. How do you feel about this? Do you think it's as special?
