My ♥ stopped at Mac Surf Baby.
The Mac Surf Baby Collection launched at the beginning of May, so I might be a little late on the uptake. But I'm loving it! The obvious favourites seem to be the MAC Summer Stash and MAC Surf the Ocean metallic pigments. The reason to love MAC pigments is because you can use them in so many different ways - on your lips, nails, cheeks, eyes, you name it! When it gets colder you imagine that you should dull-down to the nudes but this Collection proves us all wrong, with its fabulous colours and uplifting tones. The eye-colours retail for R150 and you can get them at pretty much any Mac store. Mac Surf Baby gets a definite YES!
If you're looking for a store, go to the V&A in CT, they're super friendly.

Jewellery Heartst♥pper: Thula.
Isn't this stuff amazing? I came across Thula a little while back and I'm excited to post about it. Each piece is handmade by Jessica, with a focus on strength and durability and the pieces are guaranteed not to bend or buckle over time. Well-made jewellery is SO hard to come by. But Thula is about more than that, the pieces are fun and modern, focussed on simple designs that will transcend beyond the look of the moment. Jessica adores working with clients and does custom orders, made to fit your style and personality perfectly. My favourite piece? The ring at the top - super chic!

My ♥ stopped when I saw these wedding shoes.
My number priority with wedding shoes is that they need to be ultra comfortable. I can't imagine anything worse than that 'my toes are gonna pop' feeling in the middle of the first dance. My second priority is that they are gorgeous, like the ones above. The first pic is my favourite, they look so romantic! The funny thing is, most people won't see them, because the dress usually covers them quite a bit, but you'll see them, and love them, and that's the point. What do you think, wedding shoes an important feature?

My ♥ stopped when I saw these belts.
I think my favourite is the gray belt, it's so unusual. I can imagine wearing it with a white shirt. You wouldn't need loads of accessories with any of these, they make quite a statement.

My ♥ stopped when I saw this tee.
The reason I love this so much has something to do with the heartwarming story behind it. It's made my photographer Bryan Johnson. But here's the thing: after a year-long, grueling process, Bryan and his wife are finally adopting a child, a little girl from China to be exact :)
This slogan was started by the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce in the 1960's. It will truly be nice to have our new little girl in Birmingham! All shirts are American Apparel and the proceeds will go towards our family's travel to China!
My heart melts:)Check out Bryan's EXQUISITE wedding photies here.

Jewellery Heartst♥pper: Collect Jewellery.
I absolutely adore Collect Jewellery, for obvious reasons! The pieces are extra feminine and handmade using traditional silversmithing techniques by owner, Julie Patterson.
All pieces are produced in limited edition in sterling silver, vermeil gold and carefully selected gemstones. The designs draw on various inspirations: from vintage couture, fairytales, antique odds and ends to the 1930’s! - creating the COLLECT style of classical yet whimsical!
I can't decide which pieces are my favourite, it's a definite tie between the necklaces at the top and the heart ring at the bottom. I think the reason I love Collect is because the jewellery doesn't feel 'heavy', it feels lighthearted and spontaneous. The best part? It's made in my favourite city.
Go here and prepare to fall in love.

My ♥ stopped when I saw these baby Le Creusets.
I must admit I have loads to learn in the kitchen, I'm lucky enough to have a fiancé that adores cooking. But when I came across these 10cm Le Creusets I fell back in ♥ with the idea again. They are perfect for starters, soups, bakes and dips and they're safe to go into the oven like any other Le Creuset wonder-dish.
LOVE the heart shape! |
And the lime green |
You can get your oven mitts on one for R145 and dinner guests will be super impressed. I'm inspired!

Beauty Heartst♥pper: Carolina Herrera 212 VIP.
I ♥ 212. I've been using it for years. So naturally I was very excited to see this little number. The packaging is stylish and chic with the very Gossip Girl-esque "Are you on the list?" down the front.
212 VIP was created by by the perfumer Alberto Morillas and is “inspired by New York’s young creative people”. Notes include passion fruit, rum, musk, gardenia, tonka bean and vanilla.
I feel like it's more of a nighttime fragrance because it definitely has a sexy side. Imagine Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb, but less sweet. It's ultra-feminine, sophisticated with the musky allure of 212 Sexy. It lasts for hours and every once in a while you'll notice it and enjoy the sensuous decadence it brings. It's clearly designed to be youthful and trendy and well, it is. Huge fan!
Get yours from Edgars for R495.

My ♥ stopped when I saw these pics.
There are no words for how cute this is... |
The last picture makes me think of my upcoming wedding. I don't think anyone can prepare you for all the planning that goes into one day. I always said I wouldn't be 'one of those girls' and I'm afraid to admit I might just be (one of those girls). It's so easy to get caught up in it. The emotion of it. There only a handful of really significant things that happen in this lifetime, and this for me is one of them. This is what I tell myself when trying to unpack why it is so important to get everything right.
I love this photo, especially those gumboots. This pic tells the story of a wedding that probably didn't go as planned. But did. Those gumboots are superb. Because she is cool enough to wear them and love it.
Two roads diverged in a wood and I
I took the one less travelled by
and that has made all the difference
After all, you are not the dress you wear on the day...
You are not the amount of guests you invite...
You are all the moments in-between.
Pics from here.
